Games Machines/Consoles
Hi and welcome to the Games area of our website. In this
area we will provide you with information on Games consoles/machines and games.
The big three games machines at the moment are the Nintendo
Wii, Microsoft Xbox360 and the Sony PlayStation 3 pictured together below:
Please see below for more details about the Nintendo Wii,
Microsoft Xbox360 and the Sony PlayStation 3 and other games machines.
Nintendo Wii
If you still don’t know what a Wii is, it is a new games
console from Nintendo.
What makes the Wii different and why perhaps it is
currently better than many other Games machines is that you don’t spend your
time sitting in front of a computer screen playing the game.
The Wii comes with
clever hand held controllers that detect movement. So now you stand in front of
you TV and act as though you are playing the game i.e. you move your arms to
bat the ball in a tennis game or swing your arm in golf or ten pin bowling
games. The hand held controllers seems very sensitive to how you move it such
that for example your ten pin bowling ball can even curve as it goes down the
lane as it might in the real game. Be prepared to have a lot of fun and a good
workout playing Wii games. For more information read our featured product article on the Wii Console.
Another game from Nintento is the popular Nintendo DS Lite.

Nintendo DS Lite.
The Nintendo DS is a hand console which looks a bit like a
very tiny laptop only a lot smaller and instead of a keypad it has two screens
one of which is the main screen and the other one is called the touch screen.
The touch screen is used to play a lot of different games. There is a small pen
that slots into the side of the DS which you need to use to touch the screen but
you can also use your finger on the touch screen as well but you will find it a
lot easier using the pen provided.
Some games such as the pet games and cooking games use the microphone that is situated
in the middle of the DS console.
There is a chat room feature and an online feature so that you can play one
game on two consoles and play against each other so if there is more than one DS
Lite in the house you can talk to each other in the chat rooms.
The Nintendo DS is compact and comes in a range of four different colours currently
black, pink, silver and white.
Sony PSP
The new Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) improved PSP console
is 33% lighter and 19% thinner than its predecessor, and is equipped with a
video-out port, allowing you to view your PSP content on your TV.

LCD, and you can even create a local wireless network with up to 16 friends.
The PSP also comes equipped with a wireless LAN feature
